Russia Providing Syria With MiG Fighters?


According to Debka.com,  a Russian spokesman indicated that his country may provide Bashar Assad and his air force with a key resource for delivering on the statement he made in a TV interview Thursday, May 30: “We have informed all foreign parties that we will retaliate against any future Israeli attack.”  Serge Korotkov, head of the MiG company came out with the news Friday, May 31, that a Syrian delegation was in Moscow to discuss “a new contract” for the sale of “more than 10” MiG-29 M/M2 fighters.  Read more at Debka.com.

According to Voisneias.com, Russia has said it’s only providing Assad with weapons intended to protect Syria from a foreign invasion, such as air defense missile systems, and is not delivering weapons that could be used in the civil war.

But the delivery of MiGs would contradict that claim and expose Russia to global criticism

Governors Get Some Gator Meat, Win 4-3 in Bloomington Regional


In the third upset of an SEC school today, the Governors of Austin Peay State University hailing from Clarksville, Tennessee got their taste of some Gator meat as they battled back from a 3-1 deficit to win 4-3  in the opening round of the NCAA Baseball Tournament.  The wind carried Michael Davis’ 3-run home run off of Gators’ reliever Ryan Harris in the bottom of the eighth to extend the Govs’ winning streak to a nation-best 16 games.
