Conservative radio talk show host and patriot David Webb posted an excerpt from Air Force Brigadier General John E. Michel, who is currently serving in Afghanistan, at Breitbart.com. It addresses the natural human tendency to resist change and to react in fear, rather than mapping out an intelligent and effective way to better the circumstances. The core message of Michel’s article was summarized when he quoted author and entrepreneur Eric Wahl who said, “If you want to know how to have the life you desire, follow your heart today.” Of course, before following one’s own heart, it is wise to make sure that it is already in line with the will of the Lord. Jeremiah 29: 11 tells us that God has planned a hope and a future for all of us. If our hearts are grounded in Jesus to begin with, then there should be no fear in following our hearts, because at that point, we know that the promise given to us in Romans 8:28 will kick in. Indeed all things do work together for good for those who are according to God’s purpose.
