The University of Alabama has demanded to be removed from the American Studies Association membership list after the group passed an Israeli boycott…. Kudos to the University of Alabama for being a staunch supporter of the nation of Israel. Also, a hat tip goes out to William A. Jacobson at LegalInsurrection.com, who intends on challenging the ASA’s 501(c)(3) status through IRS procedures. Jacobson reports that he has retained one of the leading practitioners in the field of charitable organizations, Alan P. Dye, Esq., to file a challenge to ASA’s 501(c)(3) status. He expects that that challenge will be filed before the end of 2013.
