Vitriolic Left Must Bear Some Blame for Alexandria, VA Shooting

In the days preceding the mass assassination attempt on Republican legislators that has left Representative Stephen Scalise fighting for his life, much left wing vitriol and rhetoric toward conservatives could be observed throughout left wing media outlets and within “entertainment venues”.  As John Zmirak at The Stream pointed out, “the attack happened scant days after New York City’s elite Shakespeare in the Park mounted a production of Julius Caesar that lip-smackingly dramatized the murder of President Trump”.   It comes with very little surprise to the casual observer that even in the aftermath of the Alexandria, VA shooting, that liberal media giant Time Warner continues to back the production that CNN’s staunch liberal media hack Fareed Zakaria refers to as “a masterpiece”.

Not to be outdone by the leftist exploits of the Communist News Network, Jesse Benn at the Huffington Post has been defending the actions of gunman via Twitter. He has remained unrepentant throughout criticism of his rhetoric.

For the record, the writer of this article, who also happens to be the editor at Roby’s Right Corner, just contacted Mr. Benn via Twitter.  He has yet to respond.  This article will be updated if he does.

It’s truly sad and alarming that many members of the left wing media refuse to back off from their rhetoric after it’s apparent that it has resulted in violence.  In the case of Jesse Benn, it appears that he actually wanted that result, which means that if people like him remain unchecked, violence on a much larger scale is sure to come.

Update:  Response from Jesse Benn

“Obstruction of Justice”: Standard Procedure for Debbie Wasserman-Schultz

For the second time in a week, former DNC chairperson Debbie Wasserman-Schultz (or a member of her staff) appears to be involved with improper contact with persons who might be targeting her in a lawsuit.  According to The Observer, a person from the Aventura office of Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman-Schultz at telephone number 305-936-7524 contacted lawyers representing Bernie Sanders supporters in the class action lawsuit against Schultz and the DNC for rigging the Democratic presidential primary in favor of Hillary Rodham Cinton.   When the Aventura office was contacted by Shayn Roby WordPress, the spokesperson declined to comment.

The attorneys representing Sanders’ reporters viewed the call from the Aventura office as suspicious, and have filed a notice in federal court with regard to the unsolicited contact.

The Progressive Assault on Christian Higher Education

Seattle Pacific University, which proclaims on its website that it is “a place where 4,000 undergraduate and graduate students gain a superb education grounded on the gospel of Jesus Christ — and the tools to influence the world for good”, is in the midst of a full blown attack by Satan’s LGBTQ army.  In an article posted at The Falcon, SPU student Athena Duran featured students whom are members of The Haven, an LGBTQ club that is sanctioned by the university.  It focused on the comfort and/ or discomfort felt by these students in a Christian environment.  Given the fact that the university has even hosted an LGBTQ leadership conference, one has to question the spiritual discernment of the members of the faculty and administration at Seattle Pacific.

As followers of Christ, believers should be welcoming to all people.  However, they should not be condoning conduct that is sinful according to God’s Holy Word, regardless of how uncomfortable it makes those who insist on continuing in the debauchery of a reprobate lifestyle.

Many students at SPU have been grumbling at the hiring of Vice President of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Sandra Mayo, whom reportedly holds the position of adhering to “Biblical standards” on sexuality.  Such complaining prompts one of a reasonable mind to ask the question, “If one is opposed to the adherence to Biblical standards, why would he or she choose to attend a Christian oriented university in the first place?”

South Carolina and Baylor Players Honor Jesus After March Madness Contest

For all of the controversy and scrutiny that has been directed toward Baylor’s athletic program, it would only be fair to give them credit for honoring Jesus.  After their loss to South Carolina in Friday night’s NCAA Sweet Sixteen game, the Bear and Gamecock players joined in a circle and engaged in prayer acknowledging the Majesty of Our Lord Jesus.

Jesus: No Ordinary Teacher (Part 1)

Indeed, Jesus is the Master Teacher, giving us life’s lessons as only He knows we are able to handle them.

Teaching.

We would all be dead without it. Consider this. Somewhere along the line, you were taught everything you know and do today.

We all go through a process of learning the bare essentials. The toilet training stage. Learning how to eat and drink. Walk and talk. Then as we walk through life, we begin to understand more complex lessons. Skills like how to read and write. How to tie your shoes. How to cook. How to apologise. How to interact with one another.

Some are still learning those lessons. But truth is, we all are. Anyone who claims to know everything is delusional. The fact that we are in the 21st century, part of society as we know it today, is thanks to our ongoing learning over hundreds of years.

You see, life is a great teacher.

Teaching is part of the fabric of life, and we are students to it

Iraqi Kurd Fashion Club Displaying Minds of Independence

In lockstep with prophecy mentioned in God’s Holy Word in the book of Isaiah, the Kurdish people in Iraq (Medes) are showing a spirit of independence that is not noticeably displayed by the other peoples of the war torn region.

In the Iraqi Kurdish capital of Erbil, a group of men have established a fashion club called Mr. Erbil, which supports the livelihood of local tailors and craftsmen.  Such a spirit of supporting their fellow man is indeed the kind of concern for neighbors that can stop terror groups like ISIS in their tracks.  Such rays of hope and optimism may indeed make the misery marketed by Islamic terror groups less and less palatable to the peoples of the region.
