Mrs. Dee Dee McCarron Screaming War Eagle?!?!?

Shayn Roby’s Take: Maybe there IS HOPE for peace in the Middle East. If even Alabama and Auburn fans can put their extreme disdain for one another aside, reconciliation is possible ANYWHERE!!! Indeed there may be hope for our planet after all.

This year has brought a monumental change in human behavior that may sweep across our nation.  Never again will one American be able to hate another.  Well, maybe that’s stretching the Truth quite a bit.  However, something has happened that almost never happens.  An Alabama fan is rooting for Auburn during a football game.  Mrs. McCarron reportedly met Tre Mason in New York at the Heisman ceremonies and according to Graham Watson of Yahoo Sports, is rooting for the player and not necessarily the team.  The Crimson Tide mom tweeted this picture of a shirt that she ordered for the National Championship game.

Alabama Crimson Tide Take On Oklahoma Sooners in the Sugar Bowl

Shayn Roby’s Take: The Crimson Tide are disappointed that they won’t be playing for a third consecutive national championship, but they still are better than the Sooners. Expect Alabama to prevail by at least one touchdown.

FBS Opponent Breakdown—-Fla. St./ Alabama/ Ohio St.

Shayn Roby’s Take: Statistically at least, Florida State has performed the best against its competition, with a score of 117.5. Alabama has performed second best with a score of 98.6. Ohio State ranks third among the unbeatens with a score of 93.1.  Northern Illinois and Fresno State are both unbeaten, but the quality of the competition they have faced doesn’t warrant their appearance in the national championship game.  They both deserve to compete in a BCS bowl however.

College Football FBS Results Week 12

Shayn Roby’s Take: Alabama, Ohio State, Florida State, and Baylor were all victorious, while Stanford was upset by USC.  Auburn kept its slim national title hopes alive with a miracle 4th and 17 conversion with seconds left that turned into a tip drill touchdown for the War Eagles.

Interconference Winning Percentages (11/10)

Shayn Roby’s Take: The Southeastern Conference leads all FBS leagues with a winning percentage of 83.3%. It should not be surprising, as the SEC has amassed seven consecutive BCS National Championships. There is no reason to believe that an eighth may be added to that total this year. Fans from Ohio State and Florida State probably would disagree, but the Alabama Crimson Tide are certainly not overly impressed by either squad, one can be assured.

Roby Ratings Top 25 College Football: Week 5

Roby Ratings Top 25 College Football: Week 5.

Alabama still sits atop the college football world.  The Tide defense shut the Ole Miss Rebels down in a 25-0 shutout.  In fact the Alabama defense by itself beat Mississippi 2-0, as it recorded a safety.
