Allen West “Let’s be very clear: Islamic totalitarianism is our enemy”

Shayn Roby’s Take: A free society tends to exist within nations that honor the principles of living laid down by Jesus Christ our Lord. An Islamic theocracy is almost always a government that maintains power through tyrannical rule that is encouraged by radical followers of Allah/ Lucifer.

Islam

Recently, US Treasury Secretary Jack Lew and Secretary of State John Kerry held closed-door top-secret meetings to persuade the US Senate foreign relations and banking committees to end sanctions on Iran. The next day, Iraqi President Nouri al-Maliki visited the White House to ask for assistance against terrorist insurgents. Trying to curry favor with either Iraq or Iran is a losing proposition.

Having served in Iraq and Afghanistan, I can tell you it’s well recognized that Iranian influence is heavy in providing weapons, especially explosive force penetrators (EFPs) and training to groups fighting against our deployed men and women. We also know that Iran is led by radical theocrats with one goal in mind: destruction of the smaller Satan (Israel) and the greater Satan (America). We must understand their concept of returning the Mahdi, the hidden Imam, and what that means for the global Islamic revolution and global conquest.

Chuck Smith is now with the Lord: a Calvinist euology

Shayn Roby’s Take: Pastor Chuck Smith impacted thousands lives by sharing the love and gospel of Jesus Christ. He impacted the life of the editor of ShaynRoby.com both indirectly and directly. If it were not for the ministry of Chuck Smith, the editor never would have had the House of Jeremiah to turn to when he was in dire need of overcoming addiction. The House of Jeremiah is a ministry that is operated by Calvary Chapel in Downey, California. Their Pastor, Jeff Johnson, was brought to Christ and prepared for the ministry under the wing of Chuck Smith. There is no doubt that Jesus has said to Chuck, “Well done my good and faithful servant.”

Chuck Smith, pastor and founder of the Calvary Chapel Movement has passed away today.  He was 86 years old.

While we don’t agree with everything this man has taught (if you search our blog you would find some disagreement we have with Chuck Smith or those from Calvary Chapel), nevertheless I do believe he is a believer of Jesus Christ and that the Lord has used Him and that people have been saved by God through Him (and perhaps at times in spite of him if that makes sense).

One thing I’m continuously grateful for Chuck Smith and Calvary Chapel is their emphasis on a high view of the Word of God.  In other words, I’m surprised sometimes of how their doctrine of the Word of God (bibliology) is quite solid.  I think as a result of it, many within these churches have gone on to study the Word of…

President Obama Calls on Iranian President to Release American Pastor Saeed Abedini

Shayn Roby’s Take: Although enduring persecution for the sake of Christ is to be expected as a consequence of spiritual warfare, our prayers are for God’s will to be done, but at the same time, that the suffering of Pastor Saeed Abedini and his family will come to an abrupt halt.

VOICE OF THE PERSECUTED

Saeed Abedini is seen with his family.

Fox News is reporting that a senior Obama Administration official has confirmed that President Obama has called for the release of American Pastor Saeed Abedini in a phone conversation today with Iranian President Rouhani.

The source stated  that President Obama raised Pastor Saeed’s case along with two other Americans directly with the Iranian President.  According to the report, President Obama raised concerns about the imprisonment of Saeed and expressed our country’s interest in seeing the American pastor returned to his family.

While Secretary of State Kerry has called on Iran to release Pastor Saeed,  this is the first time that President Obama has himself spoken out about the wrongfully imprisoned U.S.  citizen.

On behalf of the Abedini family, we’re very encouraged by President Obama raising the illegal imprisonment of Pastor Saeed. Today’s call is a significant step forward in this critical case.

We’re also grateful to President Obama for raising…

Another Street Preacher Arrested in the U.K.

Shayn Roby’s Take: It is atrocious that preachers of the gospel are being arrested. However, all of the Disciples of our Lord Jesus were killed for following Him except for John. The reality is, we all might be called upon to take such a stand for His name’s sake. The prayer of the editor of ShaynRoby.com is that the name of Christ will be glorified for those who endure persecution in service of Jesus and the Great “I AM”.

At Christian Concern, we recently sent our supporters a letter highlighting the arrests of Christian street preachers.

Just this week, a similar incident took place again.

Arrested

On Thursday (6 September) evangelist Rob Hughes was preaching on a high street in Basildon when he was arrested by police for a statement he didn’t even make.

A bystander made a false accusation against him to the police and they arrested him on the basis of this false accusation.

He was taken to Basildon police station and held there for seven and a half hours before being released at around 11.30pm last night.

We were in contact with him as the arrest was taking place and were able to send a solicitor to help him in the police interview process.

Grateful

Mr Hughes said: “I am so grateful that the Christian Legal Centre was able to react quickly and effectively in my…

India Church Growing Stronger Despite Hostilities

Shayn Roby’s Take: Christians throughout the globe are being persecuted, imprisoned, and killed for their beliefs. Yet, a hunger for the Truth of God that can only be fulfilled by the acceptance of the Lordship of Jesus Christ conquers the fear of death and punishment that can result from exercising such a bold statement of faith.
