FLORIDA SENATE approves anti-sharia bill!

A small victory for America in the war against Islamic jihad took place in Florida  as their State Senate approved an anti-Sharia bill!.  Twenty four American patriots voted to pass this bill, while 14 traitors, all Democrats, voted against the bill.

“Anyone who isn’t certain that Democrats are devoted to destroying America need only take a look at their despicable conduct in the Florida Senate. In a vote that never should have had to be taken, every single Democrat voted to force Sharia Law on the people of Florida. By doing so, they placed women and children in very real danger. The vote was 24 votes for America and 14 votes for al Qaeda and the Taliban cast by loathsome Democrats. They voted to deny Americans the Constitutional protections generations of American men and women fought for and died to protect. Dr. Alan Keyes: The Voice of Truth and Reason

Barack Hussein Obama was the African American to occupy the oval office in the United States.  In 2008, America missed an opportunity.  It could have had an African American President and possibly have had the most brilliant man to have ever held the office to be seated inside the White House.  Obviously, Barack Obama doesn’t come close to that characterization.  In 2008, Dr. Alan Keyes ran under  the American Independent Party ticket.  If ever there were a time that America would have benefited from electing a third party candidate, it was then.  Dr. Keyes stands for liberty, common sense, and the courage to speak the truth, even when it’s apparent that doing so will result in full blown character assault by the mainstream media.

Abortion Clinic Buffer Zones a Violation of the First Amendment Right to Freedom of Speech

In a friend of the court brief filed this week in the United States Supreme Court case, McCullen v. Coakley, Dana Cody, Executive Director of Life Legal Defense Foundation (LLDF) stated, “There is often one set of rules for free speech at abortion clinics that bear little resemblance to the rules that apply everywhere else!”  According to ChristianNewswire.com, seven Massachusetts residents who engaged in pro-life counseling outside of abortion clinics sued the state for violation of their right to free speech through enactment of a “buffer zone” law. The statute created a thirty-five-foot fixed buffer zone around driveways and entrances of reproductive health care facilities. The lower court upheld the buffer zone despite its unfair impact on pro-life speech. The Life Legal Defense Foundation argues that this buffer zone is unconstitutional.  The LLDF website states in the September 12th article “Abortion Exceptionalism” to be reviewed by U.S. Supreme Court

As pro-life sidewalk counselors have experienced for years, there is often one set of rules for free speech at abortion clinics that bears little resemblance to the rules that apply everywhere else. These rules have been springing up all over the country and have unfortunately been upheld by the majority of reviewing courts. Most recently, the First Circuit Court of Appeals upheld Massachusetts’ buffer zone law which was designed to keep pro-life speech activities a minimum of 35 feet away from the entrances to abortion clinics.

Of course, such hypocrisy comes as no surprise to conservatives.  After all, being a hypocrite void of morality encompasses what it means to be a liberal.

Protect Religious Freedom in the Military

Shayn Roby’s Take: Religious “proselytizing” is supposedly prohibited in the military. Even a Christian Chaplain in the military can be subject to a courts-martial for talking witnessing to a soldier about Jesus. It’s a systematic plot across the board by the Obama administration to try to remove Christianity from society. Just as our Founding Fathers embarked on the American experiment under the Divine Guidance of Christ, we must continue to stand for Christ’s righteousness and repel Satanic tyranny. Those who would impose tyranny upon us understand wholeheartedly that the place to start extinguishing hope is in the removal of the worship of our Lord and Savior Jesus, the Christ, our Redeemer.

VOICE OF THE PERSECUTED

There are ominous signs the U.S. military is turning its back on religious freedom.

On April 23, Pentagon leaders met with Mikey Weinstein, an anti-Christian extremist who decries “fundamentalist Christian monsters” and calls Christians “pitiable unconstitutional carpetbaggers.” He compares Christians to racists from the civil rights era.

If he said these things about Muslims, he’d never be permitted in the Pentagon; but now military leaders are actually consulting with him – relying on his input – as they create new policies that may roll back religious liberty – especially for Christians. This must stop:

United States Armed Forces Violating First Amendment Rights of Christians

According to Todd Starnes at Fox News, 27-year veteran of the Utah Air National Guard, Technical Sergeant Layne Wilson said he was reprimanded after he wrote an email objecting to a gay wedding in the West Point chapel and was later told to prepare for retirement because his personal beliefs about homosexuality were not compatible with the military’s policies.  The United States government has managed to turn morality on its head in a disgusting display of Luciferian Bizarro World logic (or lack thereof).

Mikey Weinstein of the Military Religious Freedom Foundation (the name of the foundation is a lie itself, because their goal is to prevent Christians from exercising their First Amendment right to Freedom of Religion within the United States military)  according to a related Fox article by Starnes, “If a member of the military is proselytizing in a manner that violates the law, well then of course they can be prosecuted,” he said. “We would love to see hundreds of prosecutions to stop this outrage of fundamentalist religious persecution.”

Weinstein and his group said they will continue to push for the Pentagon to fully implement its ban on proselytizing.

“There is a time, place and manner in which proselytizing is not only allowed, but it’s something we support among our Christian clients,” Weinstein said. “However, you can’t scream fire in a crowded theater and you can’t scream Jesus in a crowded theater at certain times, places, and in certain manners.”  According to the First Amendment of the United States Constitution, Mr. Weinstein would be wrong, because that would be “preventing the free exercise thereof.”

If the Air Force policy is implemented, former Lt. General Jerry Boykin said to Fox News that Christians who speak of their faith “could now be prosecuted as enemies of the state.”

Joe Carter, a former Marine and editor for the Gospel Coalition, a Birmingham, Ala.-based group, said coercion has no place in faith.

However, Carter said, Jesus told his disciples to spread the faith in Matthew 28, in a passage known as “The Great Commission.” That’s an essential part of the faith for many Christians, he said.

“We don’t want your boss saying you have to go to a Bible study,” he said. “But what if he just invites you?”

Just “inviting someone” appears likely to be included in the U.S. military definition of proselytizing as Mikey Weinstein is a Department of Defense paid consultant.

Susan Stamper Brown at the Christian Post sums it all up very well:  “Mikey’s giving the rest of us an object lesson in intolerance by showing us what liberal secularists are about: “It’s our way, or we shut you down.” In this case, Obama’s anti-Christian hit man, Weinstein, proposes that honorable men and women in the military who speak about their faith should be charged with a crime worthy of capital punishment. Smells like bull to me.”

Ohio school OK’s guns for teachers

Shayn Roby’s Take: Some school districts have elected to do something about reducing violence in schools and have enabled the teachers to protect themselves and the children. Statistics bear out that tragedies associated with gun violence occur in “gun free zones”. Gun control never works in reducing crime. If it did, Juarez, Mexico and Chicago, Illinois wouldn’t have two of the highest murder rates in the world.
