Hide God’s Word In Your Heart

Shayn Roby’s Take: Knowing God’s Word makes it so that He can speak to our hearts through prayer, reading, and revelation from the Holy Spirit.

Thy Word is a Lamp

Blessings come from applying God’s Word

How well do you know God’s Word?

I have hidden your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you. Blessed are you, O Lord; teach me your principles. I have recited aloud all the laws you have given us. I have rejoiced in your decrees as much as in riches. I will study your commandments and reflect on your ways.

Psalm 119:11-15 NLT

Praise the Lord! Happy are those who fear the Lord. Yes, happy are those who delight in doing what he commands…such people will not be overcome by evil circumstances.… They do not fear bad news; they confidently trust the Lord to care for them.

Psalm 112:1, 6-8 NLT

Rejoice over laws?

Psalm 119 is a long prayer that celebrates God’s law. Why would anyone rejoice over laws? Most of us find laws restricting. They tell us what we…

In Praise Of The Unknowable

Shayn Roby’s Take:   The idea that knowledge is an endless frontier is exciting.  The humility that this article speaks of however should be one that causes us to bow before Almighty God. We are unsure of the exact mechanism, but with humility should accept the very first statement in Genesis 1: 1 of God’s Holy Word: “In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.”

The Dish

Pivoting off a recent NYT piece on the (un)knowability of the laws of nature, physicist and natural philosopher Marcelo Gleiser revisits the core of his book The Island of Knowledge:

The main point is that it is naïve to believe we can have such a thing as complete knowledge of nature. There are two essential reasons for this belief. The first is simply that to make models of nature we need data. This data comes from tools of all kinds, from microscopes and particle detectors to telescopes and mass spectrometers. Any tool has limits of precision and range. Hence, we are always partially myopic to what goes on. Tools can and will improve. But some shortsightedness will always be unavoidable.

The second reason is that nature itself operates within certain limits: the speed of light and the finite age of the universe delimit how far we can see in…

Einstein Challenged Wave Theory of Light: Original Source is Jehovah

Shayn Roby’s Take: Physicists concede that light originates from a source. Our Lord, God Almighty is the Source. This must be in order to fulfill the veracity of God’s Holy Word in the book of Isaiah that states, “The sun will no more be your light by day, nor will the brightness of the moon shine on you, for the LORD will be your everlasting light and your God will be your glory”.

The Great I AM: The Original Light

All physicists in 1905 knew that without doubt, that light originated at a source.   Scientific theory at the time held that the wave nature of light was an established, incontrovertible fact.  However, Einstein challenged that concept by contending that when a light ray is spreading from a point, the energy is not distributed continuously over ever-increasing spaces, but consists of a finite number of energy quanta that are localized in points in space, move without dividing, and can be absorbed or generated only as a whole.”

Physicists concede that light must originate from a source.  Jehovah, the Great I AM, is the Original Source of Light.  The prophet Isaiah wrote, (Chapter 60 verse 19)  “The sun will no more be your light by day, nor will the brightness of the moon shine on you, for the LORD will be your everlasting light, and your God will be your glory.”  (Voices.yahoo.com)

3 And God said,…

Shayn Roby’s Take: The countenance of our Lord Jehovah was so bright that the Israelites could not look at Moses when he came down off of the mountain. That is because the great I AM is the original light. Saul was blinded on the road to Damascus when he encountered God the Son (Jesus) personally. God is the Light. God is Power. He created our sun, that gives off the light that powers the ecological systems of our planet. Praise be to the name of Yahweh.

The Great I AM: The Original Light

3 And God said, Let there be light: 2 and there was light.
4 And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.
5 And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.

Genesis 1: 3-5

2nd Corinthians Chapter 4 verse 4 also tells us that the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto those that do not believe in Him.  Verse Six reveals to us that God has shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of His glory in the face of Jesus Christ.

STAND WITH UNBORN TEXANS: Abortion providers wants your kids.

Shayn Roby’s Take: Reverend Katherine Marple mentions the word ‘ghouls’ in this pro-life article. That would be an accurate term, particularly in light of the fact that some of the evil supporters of genocide and infanticide were chanting ‘Hail Satan’ at the Texas State Capitol in Austin.

standwithunborntexaswomenWhat kind of ghoulgoes around trying to provide abortions for minors without their parents knowledge? In Texas, it’s “Jane’s Due Process.” And it’s a NONPROFIT. People actually donate money to ensure your child’s ability to get secret abortions. And if that’s not enough, they have a pageon their site to make sure minors can circumvent the law and their own parents.

“All information received from donors and volunteers is strictly confidential“, [emphasis theirs]. I suppose that’s a good thing because I know a lot of parents that would love to know exactly WHO DONATED MONEY FOR THEIR CHILD’S SECRET ABORTION, [emphasis mine].

Jane’s Due Process has an abortion assistance fund grant to pay for a minor’s abortion along with the Lilith Fund which “envisions a society in which equal access to abortion is guaranteed for all women”.

GHOULS.

Hmm….a kid can get…

A Red Menace

Shayn Roby’s Take: These deadly predators can be a threat to pets, humans, and livestock.  Even more so than the Obama administration, fire ants can appropriately be referred to as “the red scare”.

The Dish

Justin Nobel offers a glimpse into the threat posed by fire ants:

Today, if you draw a line from Virginia Beach to Nashville to Abilene in west Texas, you’ll find dish_antsfire ants everywhere below it, as well as in Southern California. The ants’ annual impact on the economy, environment, and quality of life in the United States totals $6 billion, according to entomologists at Texas A&M University. In Texas alone they rack up $1.2 billion each year: $47 million at golf courses; $64 million at cemeteries (the ants love the open and slightly overgrown habitat around tombs); and as much as $255 million in the cattle industry. They cause other problems too. In Virginia Beach, 30-year-old former marine Bradley Johnson was stung by fire ants while working outside—and died of anaphylactic shock. On at least one occasion, fire ants invaded an elementary school in Tennessee to get candy stashed in…

Carhart Abortion Clinic: Another Woman Rushed Away in Ambulance to the Hospital.  Libs are so concerned with the “war on women”.  Dr. Carhart seems to be killing a few ladies as bonus, while butchering thousands of babies in his primary occupation.
